Is social care a career for you?

Do you want a career where you learn something new every day? Do you want to support people to live the lives they want to lead? Have you considered a career in health and social care?

Pembrokeshire County Council held a WeCare jobs fair on 4 April 2019. They aimed to show people the variety of career paths available in health and social care. There’s a role out there for everyone and this event wanted to show you where and how to get into these roles.

It’s great to see Pembrokeshire County Council supporting the drive to recruit more care workers.

People had the chance to meet health and social care employers from across Pembrokeshire. There were 26 stands including health and social care providers, employment support organisations, advisors on social work, childminding and volunteering.

Social care workers were on hand all day to explain their roles to people and advise on the best routes to take into care.

All in all, it was a successful day and applications forms were completed and interviews set up.
